FOR YOU ARE ALL ONE IN CHRIST JESUS !

Rose is pleasing to my senses,

Lily strolls along my lane,

Daffodil dances with the breeze

And I wear a golden dandelion chain.

Baby’s breath my brow encircles,

Crocus announces coming spring,

Daisy keeps my every secret

And I wear a golden dandelion ring.

Lavender rests peacefully,

Iris sports her lovely gown,

Lilac’s fragrance fills the air

And I wear a dandelion crown.

Primrose adorns my garden path,

Sunflower guards me - tall and bold,

Violet shyly nods her head

And I am clothed in gold.

There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.  Gal. 3:28

LISTEN, LISTEN

Listen, listen,

Hear the sound

Of whispered prayers

The world around.

Quietly thanking

God above

For his promise,

Of Eternal love.

Listen, listen,

Do you hear

Cries of anguish,

Cries of fear.

Do you know

God hears your plea

Before you ever

Bow your knee.

Listen, listen,

To saints at prayer,

Interceding

Everywhere.

Prayers for the lost

The  sick the worn.

For family and friends

And for the unborn.

Listen, listen,

As believers share

Their gratitude

For answered prayer.

For in lives once filled

With sin and pain

Peace and love and joy

Now reign.

Listen, listen,

To the sound

Of whispered prayers

The world around.

REJOICE !!
Rejoice! rejoice! my soul give praise,
His sacrifice has covered me,
His resurrection raised me up,
His Spirit is my guarantee.!

When my time on earth is done,
I will behold Him face to face,
I shall come before His Presence,
Abled only by His Grace.

As a bride I’ll stand before Him,
Dressed in linen bright and new,
My robe a gown of righteous acts,
His hand prepared for me to do.

Before the Crystal Sea I’ll bow,
To praise the sacrificial Lamb,
And lay my crown at Jesus feet,
For worthy is the Great I AM.!

Yes, I shall dwell in Zion City,
Evermore to walk in Light,
Free from sin-made pure and holy,
By His Righteousness and Might.!

AN ADVENT JOURNEY
The scene is set, the play unfolds,
Each actor knows his part,
The messengers are waiting
To sing the song of mended heart.

The heavens are hushed, as angels bide
The moment of His birth
Which will proclaim “Immanuel”
To all who live on earth.

Their angel wings move silently
Through heavens that unfold,
Revealing awesome Glory
The prophets have foretold.

Silence is o’er, the time has come,
And midst the heavenly light,
Angels herald God’s great love
To shepherd’s in the night.

Their voices raise in glorious choir
Telling man how much God cares,
Giving hope and peace and joy –
Giving life to fervent prayers.

The Child is born!  The Child has come!
Heaven’s grand and noble plan
Has found its time to be fulfilled –
The Peace of  God now dwells with man!

BE STILL AND KNOW…..
Though darkness surrounds
And makes my heart race,
My Lord says, “Be still
I have conquered with Grace.”

Though lightning strikes terror
As storm buffets about,
My Lord says, “I’m with you,
You never need doubt.”

Though conquering armies
Of enemies attack
My Lord says, “Dear child,
My arm is not slack.”

“For lo I have promised
To always be near,
To love and protect
And drive out every fear.”

He says, “You’re my own
My precious sweet lamb,
And I am your Shepherd
The perfect I AM.”

“Yes, I bless you with good
When your pathway is bright,
And you feast at my banquet
And dance with delight”.

“But I also bless
Through trials I have given
Molding and shaping
A true fit for heaven.”

“So dear child of mine
As this life you trod,
May you ever Be Still -
And know I am God.”

Psalm 46:10

STARTING OVER
I knew I knew the answers
I knew I knew the way,
I knew my youth, my strength, my mind
Would always rule the day!

But I was blinded by a Lie
That says there is no wrong or right,
And when I straddled that fine line
I had begun my downward flight.

It started as a quiet whisper
But soon became a raucous roar
I did not see the heartache waiting,
One step away now led to more.

From a distance sin entices
Luring to a certain death,
Silencing all words of comfort
Despair became my very breath.

With strands of sin I’d woven tight
A heavy cloak that held me fast,
And now I cowered in the darkness
Powerless against my past.

But Christ reached down and grasped my soul
From the edge of Hell’s black shore,
Into Light and Love surrounded
Giving Hope to me once more.

I was released from weight of sin
The moment I looked in His face,
The Prince of Peace now rules my life
I am forgiven by His Grace !

IT WONDERS ME
It wonders me – Not just a bit
That we can’t see – The Truth of it,
Until we’ve delved – Into the pit
Of research polls – And human wit,
When all along – Our answers sit
Within God’s Word – The Truth of it.

JESUS LOVES ME, THIS I KNOW
Every minute of every day
Every experience along my way
Is sifted thru God’s loving hand.
Every joy and every sorrow
All my past and each tomorrow
Is hid within His glorious plan.

It is not my faithfulness you see
That turns the world, no it is He
The Great and Mighty God of all.
So at every turn and every bend
As down the road of life I wend
It is He who saves me when I fall.

When peace and pleasure are my lot
And joyfulness fills every thought
I nestle in His sweet embrace.
When waves of pain and sorrow roll
That seem to drown my very soul
Again, I nestle in His Grace.

Always with me - always true,
Holding, guiding, leading through -
A roaring lion, a gentle lamb.
When I doubt, His hand still holds
When I stray, His love enfolds
Behind me and before me - Jesus says, “I Am”.

John 8:58 - “Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!”

HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT
We are sometimes weighed with weariness
Midst the trials of this life,
All strength is gone – to carry on,
We feel buried in the strife.

We feel alone, or even lost
With people all around,
A gentle touch – would mean so much
But no comfort can be found.

Deep coldness creeps into our bones
So we wrap our blanket tight,
But its warmth is fleet – a mere heartbeat
No protection from the icy night.

But there is One who truly cares,
One who’ll forgive and set us free,
Precious rest He imparts – to weary hearts
Now and through eternity.

Jesus is hope to those without hope
Out of chaos He brings peace,
All anger fades – as joy pervades
And bitterness will cease.

He takes our burdens to himself
Loneliness His arms erase,
Come to Him now – before Him bow,
And taste the sweetness of His Grace!

HE IS OUR PEACE
We travel thru this worldly maze
Without purpose - without peace,
Until the Spirit call’s our name
And causes wandering to cease.

He thrusts our world into the light
Our shadow cast upon the wall,
And like a bundle of old rags
We collapse – we fall.

He lifts us then in arms of love
As a babe, new life is born,
Holy, righteous and redeemed
We embrace the altar horn.

Hearts once heavy now soar high
As all on Him is cast,
Wrapped safely in our Shepherd’s arms
We have found our Peace at last!
